The following logical data model (LDM) schema shows an invalid and not-recommended modeling structure among datasets. Attempting to save a model with such a structure may fail.

Alternative Paths

The following model is valid but not recommended.

In this model, dataset A references dataset B; dataset B references dataset C; dataset C references dataset A. This configuration introduces alternative paths for insight computation. As a result, the analytical engine randomly selects between the available paths in any computation (A → B or A → C → B) which produces non-deterministic results.
