Set Up Authentication

Once you have created the Organization, set up authentication.

To set up authentication, do the following:

Create the bootstrap token.
The bootstrap token allows you to access the API resources of the Organization.
Set up an OpenID Connect (OIDC) Identity Provider.
Without an OIDC Identity Provider configured in the Organization, users cannot log in to and use GoodData Cloud Native (GoodData.CN).
Choose one of the following options:
- Use Dex, a built-in OIDC Identity Provider.
  This option has several limitations and is recommended only for GoodData.CN deployments that are not shared among multiple Organizations.
- Use an external OIDC Identity Provider (for example, Google, Okta, or Auth0).
Map users to the Organization.

Note

Access-control lists (ACLs) that prevent users from viewing and editing all entities in the Organization are currently available only as a beta feature and may not be a completely reliable way to control access to the Organization.
