Connect Data

Before you can start running analytical queries on data stored in a database, you have to connect the database to your workspace in GoodData.

To connect GoodData with your data, you need to create a data source, see Create Data Sources.

Supported Databases

GoodData Cloud and GoodData.CN supports connections to the following databases:

• Snowflake
• Amazon Redshift
• Google BigQuery
• PostgreSQL
• Vertica

The following databases are supported in GoodData Cloud only:

• Microsoft SQL Server
• Azure SQL
• Synapse SQL
• Databricks
• Greenplum

As a beta feature, GoodData Cloud and GoodData.CN also support connections to the following data source managers, which will in turn let you connect to even more types of databases:

• Dremio
• Apache Drill
